Tanks corrosion protection and lining

Considering our impressive track record servicing top-notch mining companies, we were the first point of contact for cutting-edge corrosion protection coatings and industrial-lining solutions for five large tanks on site.

Our team commenced working on the project in August 2023, after seamlessly integrating with the mine’s professional team, as well as its management and site staff.

The tanks were handed over to us for treatment after they were grit-blasted. We started the project by sealing all joints with lining and structural epoxy.

Our team then installed a 45-degree chamfer along the floors of the tanks using a cement-based, non-shrink grout and then sealing it with a band. This innovative wall-to-floor joint further extends the life of our quality corrosion-protection system.

After preparing the tank floors by grit-blasting, we treated them with a one component, moisture curing polyurethane resin floor hardener. It strengthens the surface layer by penetrating and sealing off the concrete pores to stop water and chemical ingress.

To complete our corrosion-protection solution, our team treated the tanks with an extremely versatile and trusted polyurethane hybrid coating. Using our Plural Spray Plant, the application was undertaken with precision to achieve a complete wall-to-floor seal.

The project was completed in November 2023, following thorough inspection and quality control processes that again confirmed the high standard of our workmanship.
