Concrete repairs for mining equipment

Hindle Mason Projects recently played an instrumental role in the refurbishment of critical production equipment for a reputable mine in Mpumalanga.

It was an extremely challenging undertaking, considering a very tight deadline and difficult site conditions. Even so, we were able to deliver according to our client’s exact expectations, again demonstrating our appetite for complex projects.

This project harnessed the extensive concrete coring and repair capabilities housed within the group.

Using custom-manufactured coring barrels to a maximum depth of 1,6m, we removed all of the old, compromised foundation bolts. Thereafter, we installed new M48 high-tensile bolts and chemically anchored them using a specialised epoxy anchoring system.

Our team then refurbished the machine base using an epoxy grout to enable the concrete structure to handle excessive vibrations.
