Concrete tank base repair

Considering our extensive skills and experience, the Hindle Mason Projects team made light work of the complete repair of this 18m x 18m concrete tank base.
 
This is just one of many projects that we have already successfully completed on behalf of this mine as part of its ongoing proactive maintenance regime. Notably, our client is determined to continue only partnering with a leading concrete repair and corrosive/erosive protection specialist that is able to advise it on the best solutions to prolong the useful life of its structural assets.
 
Exposed to corrosive materials on an ongoing basis, the condition of the tank base had significantly deteriorated over time.
 
As part of the repair process, the damaged concrete was removed, and the areas prepared by cleaning and roughening the surface. A concrete mix with appropriate strength and properties was then placed to restore the full depth of the repair areas.
 
Thereafter, we cast a new screed blinding and installed a general-purpose bituminous coating and vapour barrier and flooring system binder on top. It is also a cost-effective system and practical in that it is easy to apply and repair.
