Concrete silos repair

As part of the extensive repairs of 26 silos that we are undertaking for a leading mining client, Hindle Mason Projects is also completely refurbishing their inline chutes. This will ensure the efficient functioning of this critical production infrastructure.
 
Our work starts by removing all existing bolts and core drilling new holes for fasteners after the steel plates have been removed. Thereafter, we break up the surrounding damaged concrete, enabling our team to install new rebar and start placing concrete.
 
The concrete elements are being casted with a free-flowing, high strength, cementitious micro concrete with a maximum aggregate size of 9mm. It is easy to mix, apply and finish and provides excellent adhesion properties.
 
The repair of these silos has been a large undertaking, again providing us with an opportunity to demonstrate the extent of our concrete repair capabilities. We have already refurbished 22 silos in the complex and are well on track towards completing the remaining four structures during the first quarter of 2024. This while also maintaining an impeccable health and safety track record on site.
