The separation and management of clean and polluted water is one of the most important considerations in mining. Among the many methods employed by mines to avoid polluting the environment is well-constructed silt traps such as this one, which will contain silt, sediment and other pollutants from mine water runoff.

Hindle Mason Projects pulled out all the stops to complete this project in just under five working days to ensure that this operation continues to meet its environmental obligations.

The engineering team and client were very impressed with the outcome, both in terms of quality and overall execution of the works.

Our team worked double shifts to complete this basin in the very short timeframe allocated to the project. This included excavating the 3m x 2m x1m trench in which the silt trap was built.

The infrastructure is also of a very high quality considering that it was constructed by a company with a more than 30-year track record rehabilitating concrete structures.
